“the girls” – Reunite in Gratitude!
On Sunday, November 21st, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., join us for the rousing musical
reunion of “the girls” – Lori Dokken, Judi Donaghy, Debbie Duncan, Erin
Schwab, Patty Peterson and Rachel Holder. After nine years of entertaining
patrons from cruise ships in the Caribbean to major theatre and nightclub venues in
the Twin Cities, “the girls” retired their multi-talented, harmonious performance group
in 2009 so that members could pursue solo musical and other careers. After a year
apart, they have decided to reunite in gratitude for a concert at a venue that they are
musically and spiritually attuned to – Unity Christ Church of Golden Valley.
Doors will open at 1:15 and pre-show music will consist of 45 minutes of classical
Hindustani music presented by Dr. Pooja Goswami Pavan (vocalist) and Dr. A.
Pavan (tabla player). Dr. Goswami Pavan is a Minneapolis, MN based performer,
composer, teacher and scholar of Hindustani classical music. They will present
meditative ragas for folks to settle in, reflect upon and prepare themselves for a
grand Sunday afternoon adventure with “the girls”.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the Church on Sunday mornings or by stopping
by or calling the church office on Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m.
